The resurrection of Jesus from the dead is what must be termed the "pivotal point" of the story about Jesus. Without this event, without this credential of authenticity of supremacy over, not only life, but death, the testimony of Jesus as the Son of God and the second Godhead of the Trinity, his teachings would fall into just another category of some "real good philosophy" about life. The tombs of Mohammed, and Confucius, and Buddha are still occupied. If Jesus was not resurrected then no one will ever be able to go to heaven.
